Snowdon, The Snowdonia National Park, North Wales
Snowdon is Wales highest mountain at 1085 metres and second only to Scotland's Ben Nevis within Britain. The mountain is at the centre of the Snowdonia National Park and is located close to the town of Llanberis and a wide variety of visitor attractions.
The Snowdon Mountain Railway in Llanberis offers visitors a way to reach the summit but for the fitter there are many walking routes available.
