Rock the River returns to Conwy, August 2009 Wakeboarding Festival
August 2009 sees the return of the 'Rock the River' wakeboarding festival as it returns to the town of Conwy in North Wales for its second year.
Last years festival was a tremendous success taking place over three days in August with events taking place on Conwy quayside including performances by popular local bands, the wakeboarding festival on the river beside Conwy, and a wide variety of the attractions and stalls lining the quayside.
In 2009 Rock the River gets even bigger with more bands, more attractions, and more events.
Rock the River 2009 takes place on 7th, 8th, and 9th of August. Tickets are available for the Saturday night party by visiting the website or from HMV in Llandudno.
Bands lined up to perform in the 2009 Rock the River festival are Dub Pistols Soundsystem, Rodney P, AIM, The Screaming Citizens, Uncle Joe, James Cassidy, Catfish and the bottlemen, and The Deadlight Spiral.
The Rock the River festival takes place in conjunction with the Conwy River Festival and the main wakeboarding events take place on the Saturday and Sunday right in front of Conwy Quay and Conwy Castle making a spectacular backdrop for the event.
