Rail Travel In North Wales
The main North Wales Railline runs from Chester along the North Wales Coast to Holyhead passing through the towns of Flint, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno Junction, and Bangor along the way.
Virgin Trains operates a number of regular services including daily services to Holyhead to London Rail Service.
Beyond the main north Wales line rail travel is somewhat limited with regional lines heading south from Wrexham and the Conwy Valley Rail Line.
Railways as a Tourist Attraction
North Wales is famous for its Small Gauge Railways in Wales including the world famous Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway and the recently opened Welsh Highland Railway line.Alternatively travel on the Great Orme Trams to the summit of Llandudno Great Orme or travel along Llanberis Lake on the small gauge railway.
Perhaps the most famous of the tourist railways is the train that takes you to the summit of Mount Snowdon beginning in the town of Llanberis.
