Portmeirion
Portmeirion is fun for all the family at any time of year.
Surrounding the village are extensive woodlands and beaches. Within the village there are numerous shops, all different, selling everything from Portmeirion Pottery Seconds to Portmeirion Champagne, not to mention books, cards, gifts, jams, biscuits and Prisoner memorabilia.

There are several eateries also: the Hotel restaurant (closed Monday lunchtime), a Self-Service Restaurant and Cadwaladers ice cream parlour (closed in Winter). In mid May Castell Deudraeth Bar and Grill will open for bar meals and brasserie style cooking in an informal atmosphere.
The popular Prisoner series was filmed on location within the village.

There are many beautiful features to explore within the village and gardens.

To visit Portmeirion follow the A55 to Bangor and take the Caernarfon exit following the A487 until you reach Porthmadog, Portmeirion is located 2 miles further south.
