Penrhyn CastlePenrhyn Castle is located close to Bangor in North Wales. The castle served as a manor house during the last century before being opened to the public as a tourist attraction. While not a castle in the traditional sense Penrhyn Castle still serves as a wonderful attraction in a neo-Norman style. The castle contains fascinating 'Norman' style furniture panelling and plasterwork, all designed by the architect, and houses an outstanding collection of paintings by old masters. The stable block attached contains an industrial railway museum and model room, a National Trust shop, a countryside exhibition, a doll museum and two galleries.
