Ebbw Vale
Ebbw Vale is a small town located in the county of Blaenau Gwent just to the south of the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales. The town serves as the regional centre of the county and was once famous for the steel works and coal mines that dominated the area.
Prior to the industrial revolution the area was largely unpopulated however with the demand for coal and iron the population rapidly grew as it became home to the largest steel works in Wales.
Today with the steel works and mines long gone the most noteable feature of the area is the Festival Park shopping complex which provides a wide variety of retail facilities for the area.
