Conwy Valley
The Conwy Valley is the region in North Wales around the River Conwy, known as Afon Conwy in Welsh, that stretches from the town of Conwy and Llandudno Junction in the north to the villages of Betws y Coed and Penmachno in the south.
The Conwy Valley is a popular tourist area with a large number of visitor attractions located closely together. Some of the more popular attractions include Bodnant Garden, Conwy Castle, and the Trefriw Woollen Mills in the north.
There are a number of noteable towns and villages located within the valley including, Llanrwst, Betws y Coed, Glan Conwy, Trefriw, Conwy and Penmachno.
A regular rail service runs down the Conwy Valley from the station at Llandudno Junction to Betws y Coed before heading off towards the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.
There are also regular bus services down the east shore of the valley along the A470 which is one of the main roads linking north and south Wales.
