Benllech

Situated on the east coast of Anglesey, Benllech is a popular seaside resort, which has a good beach and plenty of accommodation.

One of the most popular of the island's holiday villages, Benllech is set in a crescent-shaped bay, with fossil-studded cliffs, it has a fine beach of golden sand and is exceptionally safe for bathing and paddling, at low tide the sand stretches for miles.

Nearby is Red Wharf Bay, which is reached by a narrow, winding hill. In 1945 the grave of an adult was found on a sandy ridge facing Benllech sands. A number of iron nails and an antler comb found in it pointed to the Viking Age.

The 9 hole golf course, Storws Wen Golf Club, is nearby and is a parkland course with a stream, three lakes and spectacular views.
